John White Attended NYU on a full scholarship to study voice and composition. Under the tutelage of mezzo-soprano and Metropolitan Opera star, Jane Bunnell, and her husband Marc Embree, John’s voice began to bloom. While pursuing vocal studies, John continued his studies of jazz saxophone and composition and played with the Bob Parsons Big Band and numerous other ensembles. After school he continued his classical training under world-renowned tenor Eduardo Valdes. John has also worked and studied with Carolann Page, Sherry Overholt, Sharon Sweet, Arthur Levy, David Jackson, David Grabarkewitz, Scott Altman, and Marc Verzatt.

After touring and performing for numerus years John discovered another passion – Recording. “While doing my first recordings I realized that as a producer you have the ability to combine all the aspects of music: writing, composition arrangement, harmony, lyrics, and with the knowledge of the studio you can do so much more. All of these aspects together form an amazing new creation-a song!” Studying with Grammy-nominated and platinum-selling engineer Scott Noll, the two formed a great friendship and admiration for each other’s work and opened Midtown Sound Studios together in January 2002. Together they established a tremendous discography, client list and a Grammy Nomination for the Miles Davis tribute “Miles From India.”
